Let it Snow

I am not a cold weather person all of the time and this winter has been a really cold one. Truth is I do love a little bit of snow. The problem is I'm North Carolina spoiled. Snow is the time when you make sure all of your family are safe and warm in their homes and get your furbabies all snug and warm with full bellies and then....... you settle in by the fire with cup of hot chocolate and a good book or maybe a bit of sewing and just relax. This time it came quickly and so bitter cold and off to work I went. I really missed that special kind of quiet that comes with a snow day.

It is still horribly cold and I have to work tomorrow, there is no forecast  for more snow but this weekend I will pretend that it is a snow day and try to bring that special kind of comfort into my home. I hope everyone is warm and cozy, the pups are snug by the fire and the kitties are snuggled in their beds. Kinda sounds  like Christmas Eve again, I will pretend that it is and I am so very blessed to have my home and family.

Bright Blessings to all.

Welcome Home

Welcome

A few pictures of Christmas 2013, I'm so happy to be blogging again and with so many new things to share. These are some pictures of the Christmas trees. Christmas is the time when I really indulge myself. I am a collector of primitives and I love primitive farmhouse decorating but at Christmas I can bring together all of the elements of sparkle, enchantment, home, family, and mystical together  to just enjoy for one special magical time of the hear.

Santa's , Snowmen, and Angels can peek out anywhere.

Birds and berries are in trees and on wreaths
Lovely satin Santa's were gifts from my Mother years ago and are so precious to me
This silly jolly Elf came to my collection last summer.
Another Santa that has been around for a number of years.

Pinecones and Peacocks are favorites to.
There's nothing like soft comfy pillows at Christmas.

Every little being tucked in with the prims.

There was no decorating in 2012, but 2013 gave new promise and
this year the Holiday's were as bright as ever. My Grandson and his girlfriend spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with us and we celebrated our old traditional Christmas just as we did so many years in the old house. It was most enchanting.

Old ornaments mixed beautifully with a few new ones and laughter, good food and deep family love and joy surrounded us.

It is good to be back and I look forward to sharing many stories from 2013 as well as new adventures in 2014.

Bright Blessings

Happy 2014

I think I'm back! Now if I can get my pictures to load I will be posting again. I hope everyone had a wonderful Holiday and that 2014 has had a beautiful start for you. I can't wait to get my blog updated.
I've missed blogging so much but the computer seems to be working and from this point on I plan to make more time for the things that I love so much and blogging is one of them. 2013 was quite an adventure and I can't wait to share some of it with you.
See you soon, be blessed and take care.

Blessed Soltice
