Autumn

It's in the air and it is wonderful. There is so much to do and so little time.

I'm loving every minute of this new journey, but I will be glad to get some of the work finished and be able to relax and rest a bit. The cooler temperatures really make me happy. The mornings are so fresh and clean.

Enjoy the week, there's a three day weekend on the way and a new post to come with some pictures of the new old house.
Bright autumn blessings to all.

Weekend Fun

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. The weather has been cooler this past week than usual for Eastern N.C. I'm not complaining I like the cooler days and it makes me long all the more for Autumn to arrive.

Just before I moved into the new old house a life long friend of brothers came over and ripped up six rooms of 50 year old indoor/outdoor carpet. There were heart pine floors underneath and it looks like I'll be able to save most of the floors. I will really be glad to see what's under the old dark paneling.

I visited an estate sale on Saturday and found a lovely antique child's trunk and  some great vintage linens. I'll be posting pictures later this week if my camera will cooperate.  And more pictures of our home sweet home.

Be blessed everyone.

Sweet August

Just a few pictures of soft cool white to start a warm August weekend.

I really love my linen collection, now if I can ever get it all unpacked.

The dolls are getting restless, each of them asking me each day if they can have a favorite spot they have picked.

The beautiful french doors in the new old house, now I just have to tear out all of the paneling.

My favorite spot and it is going to be so cozy here this winter.

Nothing like sparkling whites on the line in the sun.

I can't wait to get the ironstone unpacked!

Have a cool and happy weekend,

Blessings;

Blessed Soltice
