The Best Days are When Babies Come

Introducing Charlie Brooks Creech born March 15 2012, this picture was taken just after he greeted us on his birthday. Is he not just beautiful and perfect. It was an amazing day and I was so blessed to be there. Charlie is my great Nephew, my late Brother's first Grandchild. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love this baby. My nephew Chuckie and his sweet, lovely wife Andrea are the most wonderful young people and wonderful parents.

This is me last Wed. with little Charlie at four weeks old, he's growing and I think he just gets more beautiful as the days pass.

I also hope that you will stop over at  http://allisamazing.blogspott.com/, this is a wonderful blog. You never know what will find; from a lovely parasol decked out in colorful spring flowers to a tutorial on making solar lights for your garden. I was past along the Liebster award from All is Amazing and apologize that I have not responded but now I will fill you in on the rest of my week.

My Internet went out on Sunday afternoon and they did not get it repaired until 6:30 AM yesterday. Ever have to deal with an internet company that tells you a different story every time you call?

The next thing is that the trail was Wednesday afternoon for the man that killed my brother. I won't go on and on but the defendant was offered a plea of involuntary manslaughter which he readily accepted. I watched from that point on as the defendants attorney and his family who never knew my brother slandered him, put him on trial and convicted him. I felt that I had just seen Brother murdered a second time.    Our country has a problem within our justice system. The killer gets less than 2 years for murdering my brother and for the 40 other felony charges that he was convicted on including multiple  B & E, threatening murder, assault by pointing a weapon and possession of stolen fire arms he was give two 24 month suspended sentences. He'll be back on the streets in no time. I won't continue this here and I thank all of my blogging friends that have offered your prayers.

The value of $1.00

I had no plans for garage sales today, to be honest I wasn't even feeling up to going. Then you pass one and the van just parks all on it's own out of habit.  Smart old van, love that van.  The beautiful painted tray, old red handled chopper and shiny bright ornaments were 5 cents each. The four red linen napkins $100.00 for the set. I'll tell you more about this sale later.
Second stop found these little winter babies, they have a castle too but I forgot to get a picture of it, 25 cents each and the bottle brush tree came with them. I'm going to love these at Christmas displayed with my ever growing snowman collection.

Now back to the first sale, this huge yellow ware bowl, just sitting there all alone. No one had wanted it because it has damage a rather large chip and a crack so the lady asked if I thought 25 cents was to much.

I told her that I was chipped and cracked myself and the problems made me love it all the more. Then she showed me this pillow and well a few sweet linens. Love the pillow and all the thrifty treasures. Have a great Saturday!

Happy Easter

Just a few pictures of some pretty spring things in my post today.
I loved the colors on this truck, I would love to have one like it.
Some pictures of Bunnies from a few years ago, I've no where to display them this year but I do miss the cuties.

Lovely spring flowers picked for me by brother and Mr. MW when we lived in the old house.

Wishing everyone a safe, and joyous Easter

Blessings,

Sallie and the Brats!.

Blessed Soltice
